The Gadaa System has been practiced for centuries and remains functional into the present among all of the major Oromo clans such as Borana, Guji, Gabra, Karrayu, Arsi, Afran Qallo, Ituu, Humbana, Tulama and Macha clans in Oromia, East Africa.
